REVIEW: Blistex Moisture Melt

Hi Guys,

I’m sick. And I feel crummy. But that’s ok, because by being sick, I can review this amazing lip balm that I’ve been using!

You see, my lips have been extremely dry these past few days, and I’ve been using this stuff like crazy.

You can see an air bubble at the lower left corner b/c of how much I’ve used 😀

This lip balm has beads in it that it claims will “melt” into your lips and give them extra moisture. I’m not so sure if the beads actually do much though. There is shea butter and aloe in them, so I’m sure that it’s not doing any harm!

But I gotta say, this lip balm really does work! Other lip balms that I’ve used in the past have always seemed to dry my lips out even more. After putting them on, I’ll sometimes even feel like my lips are dried out and there’s just a layer of goo on top. This one doesn’t feel like that at all! And when it dries on my lips, it doesn’t leave my lips dried out either!

Oh yes, and it’s SPF 15 and it smells really good! My sister describes it as lemonade scented 😀

There are two things that I’m not liking so much about this though.

1. The applicator: It’s a round applicator that’s unlike the ones of traditional lip balms, but I feel like it just makes the product go down the sides.

The little ridges near the base (where the top is supposed to screw on at) get filled up w/ the lip balm pretty easily and I find that I have to continuously wipe it down so that the overflow doesn’t get squeezed out and get all over everything.

2. The texture: Sometimes this balm will feel a bit grainy to me. I don’t know if it’s the beads or the formula or my lips, but it feels kinda rough. This doesn’t bother me that much though, b/c as long as it’s moisturizing and not drying out my lips, I’m good 😀

Until next time,

Rosa
